Dr Hunt gained his MBBS in 1995 from the University of Sydney based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Within five years he had also earned a Master of Biomedical Engineering from the University of NSW. While investigating a rare paediatric condition at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, he developed a strong interest in retinal research. This inspired Dr Hunt to train in general ophthalmology at the Sydney Eye Hospital, becoming a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 2006.
Today, Dr Hunt takes time away from this practice to help train future ophthalmologists and provide expertise in medical retina, macular degeneration and retinal vascular disease.
Dr Hunt is married with four young children plus two dachshunds. When he's being Adrian (or Daddy) rather than Dr Hunt, he really enjoys taking his kids to Shelly Beach ocean pool and walking on the esplanade.
